The Problem I Witnessed: Exploited Review Ecosystems

When I started researching the review landscape, I was shocked by what I discovered. Online review platforms were built with good intentions — to give consumers honest, first-hand experiences. Unfortunately, these systems have been systematically exploited over time. I saw competitors posting fake negative reviews to destroy businesses overnight. I watched reviews being written in exchange for compensation, discounts, or incentives without any genuine customer experience. Some businesses were manipulating ratings internally to appear more credible than they really were. This created a crisis I couldn't ignore: consumers were struggling to trust what they read, genuine businesses were losing credibility unfairly, and platforms had become saturated with low-quality or misleading content. When reviews are no longer authentic, everyone loses — customers, businesses, and the industry as a whole.
